Must-haves

4 + years websphere engineering experience in enterprise/ ecommerce shops

-scripting ( shell, perl, jacl and jython scripting

-websphere 6.1/7

-be able to trouble-shoot/admin/understand scripting/build and design as well

-excellent documentation

-presentation skills ( to ceo/vp’s and director level management)

-broad understanding of middleware technology that goes beyond middleware
systems

-broad based knowledge of os/application development, storage, architecture and
information securities


Technologies must-haves:

middleware administration experience

strong j2ee development experience

strong java application architect experience

web server experience

unix administration and scripting

knowledgeable on web services and soa

jacl and/or jython scripting skills; supplementary perl/ksh (shell) scripting

degree or related degree/experience

This will be
part of a huge initiative at the bank that is going to be re-inventing
ecommerce, consolidating multiple applications, building 3 new datacenters and
being able to take ownership in the role as a sr. websphere engineer. this
resource must have excellent communication, online banking, ecommerce
platforms, multifunctional understanding.
they will be delivering middleware enterprise projects and serve as j2ee
architect and making recommendations on j2ee best practices in application
development. they will be responsible for websphere infrastructure design and
websphere topology design for high availability and failover capability. they
will have the opportunity to work at this financial institution for multiple
years if all goes well. this is also the biggest websphere environment in the
entire world...over 100 websphere environments makeup this
environment...walmart may be the only comparable sized environment to this one
