Skills:
-5+ years ETL Development
-2+ years Informatica 8.6 or higher (At least the past 2 years should be primarily focused on Informatica as a primary function) .
Roles & Responsibilities
· Work with project managers and data modelers to develop and integrate data into the enterprise data warehouse using data warehouse concepts, Informatica tools, and SQL.
· Develop ETL workflows and mappings using understanding of advanced ETL techniques to handle complex data update strategies, large volumes of data etc.
· Data analysis of source systems and understanding business rules applied.
· Support and analyze any production issues and making recommendations, by troubleshooting issues using Informatica monitoring tools, SQL queries and database and Unix/Linux server monitoring scripts.
· Support technical architecture decisions by researching new technologies and concepts and making design and improvement recommendations.
· Engaging in performance improvements in ETL processes as well as database queries using advanced techniques
· Provide technical leadership to junior developers as needed
Knowledge Skills & Abilities
· At least 3 years ETL development background with Informatica
· Experienced in best practices design of ETL implementations in a high volume environment, including ETL software, database and hardware tuning.
· Applicant should be knowledgeable and experienced in data warehousing, including understanding of dimensional models
· Applicant should be experienced with ETL development (Informatica) in a very large database environment.
· Experience with data quality tools and knowledgeable in data quality approaches and techniques is preferred
· Strong experience working with Oracle relational databases & SQL programming concepts require
