Role Title: Sr. C++ developer w/ Fixed Income exp
Location: NYC
Duration:12 months
Rate: $DOE/hr on C2C

Role Description:

Main Function

The requirement is for a senior developer to join the Fixed Income E-Trading team. Candidate is expected to take a lead role in the architecture and design of the next generation execution platform. This will involve FIX connectivity, low latency messaging and an internal matching engine. The components will be written in C++. There is both Linux and Window OS in the environment. The candidate should be a mentor to less senior staff and there will be opportunities for line management responsibility.

Should have a good appreciation of the software quality, with emphasis on the importance of the testing stage

Must also be able to maintain the project standards and ensure that they are adhered to, as well as proactively trying to add to these standards whenever possible.

Skills Requirement

• Languages: strong core C++, stl, boost
• Experience of pub/sub messaging
• Experience of developing OMS useful
• Deep understanding of multi-threaded programming
• Good exposure to software design, writing unit test cases
• Moderate SQL skills at a minimum

Experience Required

• Fixed income product knowledge preferred: bonds, derivatives, IR swaps, if not then limit order execution in a different asset class.
• 10+ years experience in a relevant position, does not have to be the same asset class.
• Qualifications Education: Computer Science degree or equivalent
