Title: SQL DBA

Location: Thousand Oaks, CA

Duration: 1 yr plus

Openings: 5

Interview: 2 rounds

1st round is going to be a Technical screen round and 2nd round is a simple phone interview with manager and team. 2nd round will be after they clear the 1st round.

Database Administrator(DBA) - SQL Server

General Description:
Responsible for all support related to SQL DBA including:
Installation
Upgrade
Optimization of SQL DB
Back up and recovery, disaster recovery
Access administration
Supported environments include Development, Test, and Production
Monitor of DB for performance, opportunity for fine tuning, project and implement plan for long-range needs
Complete progress/status reports regarding database management
Duties:
Configure and install SQL Server including SQL Reporting, SQL Server Integration and SQL Analysis services
Set up SQL DB scripts and tools to monitor DB to avoid outages
Troubleshoot issues
Help plan and determine data relationship, attributes, data flow, data structure, storage requirements for required applications to maximize accessibility and performance
Develops, documents and enforces standards for SQL DB support
Participate / Plan for capacity and performance
Define architectures to optimize load balancing and eliminate downtime for backup process
Administer security policies and guidelines.
Monitor security to isolate potential security breach.
Install patches to ensure database security
Change management
Help project managers in development of project scope, plans, estimates, required tasks, and prioritization of wbs
Qualifications - preferred:
MS DB certification
SQL 2000, 2005 and 2008
Experience / knowledge of NetApp, SAN, HA

Experience / Knowledge of SCOM is a HUGE PLUS
Experience with DBA, Performance, Monitoring and Reporting tools
Large enterprise
Highly regulated environment
ITIL
