Design Engineer

Location: Manhattan, NY

Duration: Minimum 6 months

 

This position is 50hrs/week and would require weekend work for Deployment.
Network Design Engineer with willingness/capability to do deployment work for a portion of the engagement ( 6 month contract) – The candidate must be able to analyze and interpret a set of requirements and, in reference to predefined architectural design and configuration standards, produce the Engineering design documentation required to support the associated project. This may include (but is not limited to) detail design documentation, device configuration templates, IP addressing schemas, detailed migration / integration planning, commissioning / test plans and device / functional certification. This will require the candidate to have a proven track record of working in a large enterprise or carrier environment and a strong knowledge and understanding of TCP/IP, Routing, Switching and Firewall technologies. OSPF, BGP, RIP, STP, Multicast, PIM, QoS, Telco Circuts, MPLS.
