Role Description:
This is a Quality Assurance role, primarily responsible for the coordination as well as hands-on testing. The position requires an understanding of Mainframe and Java functional and system testing as well as coordinating end-to-end testing with partner systems.
Desired skills:
- Application development and/or quality assurance testing experience in a zOS mainframe environment (DB2, JCL, COBOL, TSO/ISPF, MQ Series, Stored Procedures). Java/SOAP UI experience a plus.
- Experience with HP Quality Center tool.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong leadership and partnership skills.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a group.
- Strong experience creating detailed test cases/scripts, and executing manual tests.
- Experience creating formal test plan and/or test strategy documentation based on reviews of business requirements, functional requirements, and design specifications.
- Knowledge of testing methodology and software project lifecycle.
