J2EE Senior Developer/ Analyst

Location : California-Newport Beach

Duration : 6 Months

Description

· Responsible for design and development of complex systems, applications, and processes.

· Interact and consult with Enterprise Architecture, technical services to understand business strategies and project requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

· Act as a technical expert addressing problems related to system and application design, performance, integration, security, etc.

· Document design appropriately and consistently within the defined processes and standards.

· Keep current with trends and technological innovations.

· Provide design and development guidance and mentoring to teams within the department.

· Manage and prioritize multiple assignments

Qualifications

· 5+ years experience in product/component development in J2EE - web based solutions of which 1-2 years would include design level experience

· -J2EE experience that includes JSF, AJAX, Servlet, JSP, Application Servers, and Hibernate.

· -Oracle RDMBS experience preferred (particularly Oracle), good knowledge of SQL and data modeling.

· -XML, DOM, SAX, JDom, and XSLT.

· -Web Services, SOAP, WS-security, and WSDL.

· 3+ years experience with agile or lean software development methodologies.

· Deep understanding of object- and component-oriented design principles.

· Advanced computer programming skills and experience in Java, JavaScript, HTML, JSP, Servlet, and OO Design

· Advanced programming skills and experience in J2EE technology, such as JNDI, JMS, RMI, JNDI, XML, XSL, XSL-FO and JDBC.

· Experience with full life-cycle software applications development (i.e., design, construction, testing, and implementation)

· Working knowledge of application security concepts and common vulnerabilities.

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline

· Strong judgment, decision-making skills and creative analytical skills.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Broad knowledge of system and technology alternatives.

· Broad knowledge of system development life cycle.

· Ability to work effectively with clients and IT management and staff.

· Ability to perform against tight deadlines and multi-task effectively.

· Ability to work effectively with groups of varying technical expertise.

· Strong self-motivation balanced with a desire to achieve team goals.

· Ability to mentor project developers

Other Desired Qualifications:

· Recent hands on experience with objected-oriented programming methodologies and techniques (data/object modeling, methods, classes, inheritance, polymorphism, re-use concepts, frameworks)

· Experience with EXT JS.

· Significant working knowledge with the following platforms: JAVA/JBoss/Oracle.

· Significant working skills in administering JBoss Application Server 5, or other Java application servers (e.g. Sun, Websphere)

· Advanced hands on working skills in programming with ANSI SQL for Oracle Database.

· Advanced hands on knowledge of Http, SSL, TCP/IP, CCS and Document formatting

· Intermediate-to-advanced understanding and significant working experience with a variety of integration technologies (MQ, JMS, XML, SOAP, REST, EJB, JDBC, etc)

· Working knowledge with the following Software: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Visio.

· Experience with code versioning and change management concepts (SubVersion experience a plus)

· Experience with requirements definition and specifications design creating conceptual, logical and physical design using case models, class models, component models, and physical models

• Experience working with offshore teams is desired but not required.
