1 year minimum but open ended / 5-10 years of experience in test automation. Proficiency in QTP automation tool. Experience setting up complex test automation frameworks.  Unit, Functional and Regression testing.  PLUS: Financial/Trading environment. 

 

Our client, a hedge fund in NYC, is seeking a Test Automation Engineer to contribute to the development, maintenance and execution of an automated QA platform. This is a long term consulting opportunity.

The individual will help to review and further develop an existing test automation framework.  The main aims of this effort is to create a framework that maximizes QA ROI, is maintainable and can be to a large degree reused to cover additional application and systems.

Responsibilities

  • Help creating a maintainable and reusable hybrid test automation framework to maximize testing ROI.
  • Automate QA functionality to expand the scope of test automation coverage.
  • Help to determine most suitable strategy and approaches for test automation of various applications and systems.
  • Execute test suites and analyze results.
  • Coordinate with development teams to improve their QA environment, ensuring that it matches production as closely as possible.
  • Establish quality assurance standards and best practices for test automations efforts.

REQUIRED:

  • 5-10 years of experience in test automation. (but open to less if great person)
  • Proficiency in QTP automation tool.
  • Experience setting up complex test automation frameworks.
  • Understanding of software quality control methodologies, including unit testing, functional testing, and regression testing.
  • Great interpersonal and communications skills.
