Position: Cognos Planning ARCHITECT.

Length: 5+ Months

Location :Westlake Village, CA

Rate :DOE

 

Minimum 10 or 10+ Years of IT Experience Required & Preferred

 

Must be an Architect with Planning experience

 

Responsibilities :

- Develop processes, procedures and cost-effective technical solutions to support and improve the usage of existent IBM Cognos Planning applications including Contributor, Analyst, etc. of version 8.4.1+

- Provide technical education, guidance and consulting to IT customers and team members on IBM Cognos Planning applications including Contributor, Analyst, etc. of version 8.4.1+

- Develop and support technical solutions and implementations of IBM Cognos Planning applications including Contributor, Analyst, etc. of version 8.4.1+

- Participate in functional design review across the company

- Support upgrade of IBM Cognos Planning solution from version 7.4 to version 8.4.1

 

Skill Sets:

- Breadth and depth in IBM Cognos Planning applications including Contributor, Analyst, etc. of version 8.4.1+

- Knowledge in IBM Cognos BI solutions like Report Studio, Analysis Studio, Query Studio preferred

- Knowledge in IBM Datastage ETL tool or any other ETL tool preferred

- Knowledge of SQL programming language preferred

- Knowledge of Data Warehouse concept (Star Schema) preferred

- Familiar with Project Management methodologies like SDLC

- Ability to solve complex technical and business problems

- Ability to work effectively in a global team environment

- Self-starter; ability to work independently with minimal supervision

- Strong problem solving, analytical and documentation skills

- Strong verbal and written communication skills

 

 Experience: 5+ years in IBM Cognos Planning solutions in various versions, including systems analysis, design, development and implementation.
