Direct Client : Required .Net developer at Boston, MA for 10 Months contract

Duration : 10 Months

Description:

The primary focus of the project is to upgrade the application framework from a desktop application to a more flexible web-based architecture, as well as re-engineer and improve overall application performance, process efficiency, and front-end usability. 

Qualifications: 

1. Programming experience with ASP.NET development and knowledge in .NET Architecture; ASP.NET, VB.NET and ADO.NET is preferred.

2. Programming experience with Windows Forms, Console Applications and Windows Services.

3. Experience with XML/XSLT, C#, and Visual Studio 2005 or newer.

4. SQL Server 2005 or newer – development, administration and performance tuning.

5. Experience working with ETL Tools such as DTS/SSIS.

6. Experience using 3rd party development controls such as Telerik RAD Controls.

7. Experience in Scanning, OCR or any type of Document Imaging, including working with Adobe PDF and TIFF files.

8. Knowledge and experience using FTP, SFTP and other file transfer protocols.

9. Experience developing data processing interfaces such as EDI, and automating data processing tasks.

10. Minimum of 5 years of experience building, configuring, testing and troubleshooting SQL database and web applications.

11. Previous experience using a 3rd party Report Writing tool such as Crystal Reports and SQL Server Reporting Services.

12. Familiarity with setting up and administering IIS, SQL Server and Windows Server for development.

13. UI design experience: page layout, graphics editing using Visual Studio or other Editors.

14. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

15. Ability to work as part of a team.

16. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Access, Word, and Excel.

17. Self-motivated individual with strong initiative.

18. Strong organizational skills. 

19. Ability to multi-task - manage multiple projects/work efforts at once.

20. Ability to solve problems using logical and analytical skills.

21. Strong testing and back-end database development skills.
