Job Role / Responsibilities: The DW Architect will work with the project team comprising of subject matter experts and technologists in the design and construction of a securities lending data warehouse.

 

This is a senior-level position and candidate are expected to have excellent skills in the following areas:

• Oracle architecture solution designing and development of data warehousing based on a Oracle repository;
• Data modeling and design considerations for analytical systems including reports and dashboards;
• Designing, reviewing and optimizing Star, Snowflake and hybrid data models;
• Advance data architecture experience with normalized and de-normalized data model structures in heterogeneous environment;
• Writing, executing and debugging SQL queries to perform tuning and optimization of BI implementations;
• Optimize the physical models for typical warehouse ETL and query loads;
• Performance tuning;
• Database administration, tuning and space management;
• Recommend and implement database partitioning and index strategies;
• Reviewing data models and recommending fixes ;
• Experience in designing data warehouses for capital markets or like areas is highly desirable;

Project Details   The initiative entails build of a securities lending data warehouse that will source data from existing lending systems and ancillary sources. Exploitation of the warehouse will be via means of a BI suite of products.
