Data Developer

Work Location   : Elk Grove, CA

Duration              : 2 years

 

The client is currently seeking a Data Developer for a 24+ Month contract opportunity with our client in Elk Grove, CA.

 

Responsibilities:

*          Responsible for handling, understanding, designing and troubleshooting complex systems to move and provide large amounts of data to end users

*          Responsible for ensuring applications have access to data

*          Monitor, tune and troubleshoot existing data pipelines

*          Work alongside DBAs, Developers and Infrastructure Support to support initiatives

*          Communicate frequently between multiple teams within a unit as well as executive management

*          Responsible for driving requirements clarifications, design, development, testing and deployment for multiple projects simultaneously

*          Will be influencing architectural decisions and driving detailed implementations

 

Required Skills:

*          Extensive experience with data movement, loading and transformation logic

*          Experience developing scalable transaction or warehouse solutions

*          Must be able to troubleshoot data quality, data model and process problems

*          Ability to evaluate system designs via commonly used methodologies

*          Data modeling experience

*          Expert level knowledge of Oracle SQL and Java

*          Experience within Linux and Solaris systems

*          Experience with very large data sets, in high rate

*          ETL technologies desirable

*          Excellent communication with the ability to describe complex scenarios

*          Scheduling flexibility for 25% travel and global team interaction

*          Experience working with virtual teams

*          Web Services implementation experience is highly desirable, as is ODI experience
