Job Title: Quality Assurance Tester/Analyst II
Location: Jacksonville, FL
Type: 6+ Month Contract To Hire

Rate:$35/hr

 

Summary:
Provide Quality Assurance for all Desktop Applications assuring that a quality product is available to our clients and employees.  Intermediate professional level role.  The ideal candidate for the Quality Assurance Analyst position is an individual that has experience with quality assurance practices, test design, planning and documentation. This person will be involved in all phases of strategic projects identifying, documenting, preparing, executing and implementing testing strategies for medium and large-scale applications.

Required:

• 3 or more years of application development testing
• Strong SQL skills
• Experience testing Web Services
• Strong interpersonal skills are required, as the successful candidate will interface with a wide range of personnel, and must possess the capacity to solve problems, resolve conflicts, and build relationships

 

Desired:

• CSTE certification a plus
• Mortgage Default industry experience is a plus
• Experience using Rational Quality Manager and/or Rational Functional Tester a plus
• Experience using Soap UI is a plus

 

Duties:

• Responsible for developing and executing formal test plans to ensure the delivery of quality software applications
• Create and document test scenarios/cases that emulate real-world business activities and operations in a controlled test environment
• Involved in creating reusable test data, test case automation, and test execution
• Write and execute manual system and certification test cases using documented functional and non-functional requirements
• Defines and tracks quality assurance metrics such as defects, defect counts, test results and test status
• Conduct all types of testing (smoke, functional, disaster recovery, system/ regression) to validate system perform as expected
• Strong experience testing web services
• Use SQL to validate expected data conditions and/or test results
• Review and provide feedback on new/enhanced Software Business Requirements and High Level Designs
• Knowledge of software development life cycle working with Software Developers and Product Analysts

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems desired
