Tester Lead

 

 

Location: Houston, TX

Duration: 6+ months

 

**Houston resources please** Prior experience as test manager or test lead In depth software quality assurance and testing industry knowledge Strong experience in the development test strategies, plans and scripts Experience in coordination and execution of testing Ability to setup and manage test plans in Shell's standard test tool "HP Quality Centre" Ability to use Microsoft Office tools Working knowledge of Livelink and SharePoint Good understanding of project management processes and procedures, including the PDF (Project Delivery Framework) is a plus// Demonstrates effective communication, both orally and in writing, with subordinates, colleagues, business users at all levels, both formally and informally Work well with both technical and business staff Experience of coordinating people to complete tasks Prior experience with Shell Downstream Manufacturing considered a plus Conceptual Thinking: acquiring understanding of the underlying issues in complex problems or situations by correctly relating these to simpler or better-understood concepts, models or previous experiences Planning and Organisation: determining a course of action by breaking it down into smaller steps and by planning and resourcing each of these, making allowance for potential problems Multi-tasking: ability to handle multiple issues "concurrently" (rather than sequentially) Decision Making: making decisions at the appropriate time, taking into account the needs of the situation, priorities, constraints and the availability of necessary information Influence and Persuasion: influencing and persuading others to take a specific course of action when there is no direct line of command or control Providing Direction: directing others to undertake tasks Follow-up and Monitoring: checking progress against targets, reporting as necessary and taking action to resolve exceptions
