PHP Developer – Alta IT

 

Location: Landover, MD

Position Type: 6 Month Contract (Possibly Multiyear/Permanent)

 

MUST be Either EAD, Green Card or US Citizen

NO Criminal Background

 

Requirements

·         MUST have Strong PHP, object-oriented development experience

·         Prefer experience with SugarCRM or Drupal

·         Experience with Linux, Apache (mod_php, moderewrite), XHTML/CSS, Javascript, XML web services, SOAP and SVN

·         Strong MySQL database design/development

·         Strong analytical skills with ability to quickly analyze functional problems and provide efficient code fixes

·         Experience designing and building complex, challenging projects

·         Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into functional products and make good design decisions

·         Ability to effectively interact with other organizational units

·         Ability to work in a fast paced, test-driven collaborative and iterative programming environment

·         Experience with Drupal, especially as implemented with custom modules, or integrated with other solutions; SugarCRM

·         Participate in the development team to further develop the current system architecture

·         Optimizing large and complex queries and business intelligence

·         Participate in design sessions and design reviews
Develop from User Stories in PHP and MySQL using Drupal and SugarCRM, implementing an API model for cross-system functionality implementation
Support code-control through diligent utilization of SVN repository

·         We are a small development and engineering team developing a critical web application for a government agency using Drupal and SugarCRM. 

·         You will create new modules for the software, develop and maintain our extensive system architecture, and participate in full life-cycle services, including agile requirements, design, and development. 

·         The ideal candidate has experience working on a small agile project team, applies attention to detail in implementing requirements, and has outstanding written and verbal communications skills
