Position : Java Developer
Location : Richfield, MN
Duration : 12 months
Description of Responsibilities
This role involves design and creation of new, high-scalability applications, and extension and refactoring of existing applications primarily in Java. This role will be engaged in pair programming, refactoring, Test Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior Driven Development (BDD). As part of the self-directed, high performance team, candidate must be able to articulate design ideas for a system and collaborate with a team to reach a decision.
· Self-directed and shared collective ownership for design decisions
· Use the best tools for the job, be those open source or other
· Comfortable in pair programming environment
· Strongly favors TDD and BDD
· Up to date with current tools and techniques
· Comfortable and be comfortable working in an agile environment
· Comfortable working in an Apple MacBook development environment
Requirements :
· Java programming
· Pair programming
· Test Driven Development
· Comfortable with GIT source control
· Familiarity with Unix
· Familiarity with RESTful services
Nice to have skills :
· Development on a major web content management system
· Development on a major product catalog management system
· Experience with Spring
· Experience with Oracle Database and PL/SQL
· Familiarity with Ruby
· Infrastructure Automation (Chef and Vagrant)
