Hello Partner,

We have an immediate need for a Senior Core Java Developer.  Our client is located in Lombard, IL.  Duration is 8 months contract.  Rate: Open/hr.  Unlimited OT.

 

Senior Software Engineer - Java developer

 

Position Responsibilities                               Senior software engineer working as part of a global team to develop and deliver rich internet applications.

• Design and propose solution architecture for complex financial software.

• Work with Business Analyst and users to translate business requirements into technical designs.

• Provide technical direction/mentoring/training to fellow developers.

• Develop and document effective and reliable source code which meets functional and technical requirements and

adheres to software engineering/object oriented best practices or is consistent with existing solutions.

• Perform complex systems analysis and programming activities that may require research.

• Create/maintain design and technical specifications for new/ongoing development projects.

Position Requirements                

• 7+ years of experience in Java/J2ee focusing on full lifecycle application development.

• Strong knowledge of Java

• Strong knowledge and experience with design patterns (including MVC), service-oriented architecture, and solution frameworks.

• Strong experience architecting and implementing Web Services using current standards and specifications (e.g. REST, SOAP, WS-Security, WS-Trust, XML / JSON)

• Strong knowledge of JavaScript and good debugging skills

• Knowledge of Spring and Hibernate a plus

• Strong grasp of JSON, AJAX, XML, HTML, CSS

• Strong grasp of application security and information security with experience in designing secure applications.

• Strong command of Object Oriented concepts.

• Experience working with financial systems a plus

• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.

• Strong financial/business knowledge preferred.

• Excellent PC skills and common business applications. (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio)

• Excellent written/verbal skills.
