Java/JavaEE Web Services developer needed for a 6 mos contract role in Hoboken NJ
Must have JMS expertise and Oracle SOA experience is a plus!

The primary responsibility of the Web Services Developer (Java) is to build, test, and support Web Services using Oracle SOA Suite.

Job Description in Detail

: Understand and review technical specification

: Develop application integration services using Oracle SOA Suite

: Prepare for unit testing, integration testing, code review

: Prepare for, and support, Quality Control and UAT

: Partner with other team members to troubleshoot issues and ensure operational readiness as it relates to integration with upstream and downstream systems

DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS:

: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

: Local candidate preferred - will have to work in Hoboken, NJ

: Previous Insurance / Re-Insurance Experience

Qualifications Requirements

: Must have minimum 6 years of strong experience in core Java

: Must have minimum 4 years of Java EE experience with recent technical knowledge in the following required technologies : JMS, JAX-WS, EJB3.x (or Spring), JPA

: Must have Hands-on Web Services development experience with knowledge of SOAP, WSDL

: Must have strong knowledge of XML, DTD, XSD

: A Huge Plus: Experience developing applications using Oracle SOA Suite - BPEL Process Manager, Oracle Service Bus, etc.

: Must have worked with XML transformation technologies - XSLT or XQuery

: Must have experience w/relational databases - specifically, Oracle

: Strong SQL with hands-on expertise in writing queries

: Knowledge of java logging using Log4j

: Must have capability of working in a team environment to accomplish tasks both individually and through working with others

: Knowledge of software development lifecycle experience: requirements, design, build, test

: Possess strong Technological, Analytical and Problem-solving skills

Preferred Skills:

: Experience using Oracle JDeveloper

: Knowledge of Oracle TopLink or Hibernate
