Job Title: Java Architect
Location: Pleasanton, California
Duration: Long Term
Rate: DOE
Job Description:
Served as the liaison between different groups (business, client, and engineering)
Each TA is assigned multiple projects (goal is trying to get them more focus on upfront design, and less hands-on)
TA will be actively involved in client implementation (service request, enterprise) project
For most projects, TA will work with business implementation manager (who provide the functional design) to define the technical integration design
With limited TA bandwidth, most TA will need to hands on supporting implementation, tasks including:
Interface development
Config Weblogic workflow
Create Webform (using in-house developed tool to transform Excel form into JSP!!)
Unit / Integration testing
If changes involve customization of the "core OTP application", it will be Engineering team responsibilities
Learning curve is fairly long due to lack of documentation and bandwidth from sr. resources to ramping new people
Skills:
Java/J2EE. Specifically interface level design experience between J2EE Webapp and ERP systems (EDI, SAP IDOC, PeopleSoft).
Experience with Weblogic Workflow (or relevant experience)
Experienced in creating technical design UML.
Able to work with business implementation team to translate functional design into technical integration design.
Able to perform development work for the short term (the goal is unload this to a pool of developers).
