The Roles and Responsibilities include:
· Engage, coordinate and execute complex infrastructure projects according to standard SLAs defined and ensure seamless delivery.
· Responsible for Scheduling, Reporting and Customer engagement
· Mentoring the team on both technical and process front.
· Driving technical documentation updates and flagging new updates to stakeholders on process improvements
· Onboarding new technical proficiencies to Global Change Operations for volume based execution.
· Collaborating with Problem Management team to develop process changes in response to identified issues in the production environment.
· Identifying automation needs and work with the appropriate teams to create and improve the existing tools for automation.
· Provisioning of New Virtual Machines through automation and manual processes.
· Migration of existing Virtual Machines between hosts to provide more stable environments.
· Performing Virtual Machine, Physical and Blade server rebuilds, renames & rehomes
· Performing Windows infrastructure change work involving Active Directory, DNS, WINS, DHCP and Windows Server 200 X.
· Provisioning and support of Network Load balancing and F5 Hardware Load balancing.
· Configure and support Windows Failover Clustering.
· EMC SAN storage provision and reclamation on Virtual Machine, Physical and Blade servers.
· Troubleshooting issues/incidents arising during change implementation in the above mentioned areas.
· Coordination with respective Microsoft Data Center Teams for related activities
· Responsible for identifying, monitoring and responding to Risks
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related
- Should have at least 7+ years of experience supporting Windows Server 2003/2008/2008 R2, Hyper-V and Internet Information Server (IIS5-7) in a large scale 24x7 operations/production web-service environment
- In-depth experience working with Windows, Hyper-V, SAN and Network infrastructure environments.
- Experience in managing pre-production/production systems and applications built on Windows servers and advanced knowledge of Active Directory, TCP/IP protocols, Hyper-V and IIS.
- Team Lead/PM experience is a definite plus
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and documentation skills
- Working knowledge of scripting languages and technologies, (Powershell, VBScript, Perl , ADSI, WMI, etc.) is a plus.
- Executive and high-level communication and presentation skills.
