JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our company success is directly tied to having one of the best user

interfaces in the health IT sector. We never stop improving our systems for

our community of doctors, nurses, practice managers and patients. As a

Senior UX Designer with our team, you'll be a key part of the design and

development of our user interfaces, wireframes and workflow design. The

results of your work will lead to improved physician productivity, better

clinical effectiveness and patient safety.

This is a perfect job for someone with excellent application design skills

(preferably in web applications or rich internet application environments)

who understands how to simplify navigation in complex web applications

and enhance the overall user experience. We look for ability to manage

complexity, creativity, and enthusiasm to do great things in the healthcare

space.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Interaction Design – simplify complex clinical workflows and interactions

into extremely usable experiences, delivering high productivity with minimal

user error rates in a high-throughput clinical environment. Develop

conceptual diagrams, wireframes, visual mockups, and prototypes on time

as a part of the regular release cycle.

• Work closely with the product management team during the envisioning

and requirements management process.

• Innovate new designs to allow clinicians to manage the care process of

individuals and populations, include appropriate information architecture,

presentation of quantitative information, workflow dashboards and other

artifacts to be used in real time at the point of care.

• Design user experience across a range of devices, including browers,

tablets, and other mobile devices. Create user-centered designs by

considering market analysis, customer feedback, usability findings, and A-B

test results

• Design the UI architecture, interface, and interaction flow of new web and

on-device software applications, including background elements- personae,

use cases, and competitive analysis.

• Conduct usability studies on site at doctor's offices, with mobile medical

practitioners as well as in our offices.

• Develop a metric driven approach where possible to measure before/after

impact on adoption, customer productivity, error rates, and customer

satisfaction.

• Present usability findings and design work to Marketing, Product

Management, and the executive team for review and feedback.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5+ year experience in Interaction Design or User Experience design

• Broad range of experience ranging from high-throughput workflow

environments to consumer friendly, complexity-hiding applications. (e.g.

healthcare, financial services, gaming, document management, BPO,

decision support tools)

• Demonstrated ability to simplify complex, data-intense customer activities

with high satisfaction rates.

• Experience conducting usability tests or end-user interaction studies

• A portfolio of projects demonstrating innovative designs for workflow type

applications, including before and after stories showing clearly added value

• Excellent ability to work in a collaborative team environment and provide

authoritative leadership to the User Experience design while including ideas

from others is necessary

• Strong oral and written communication skills in order to get concepts,

constructs, and standards communicated to people less familiar with user

experience design is required

• Passion for improving the lives of patients and clinicians in healthcare.

• Experience leveraging time and motion studies, usage data mining,

industrial engineering and other quantitative measures of workflow design

highly desirable

• Experience using A-B testing results to guide design and continuous

optimization highly desirable

• Knowledge of physician practice workflow and healthcare concepts is

highly preferred.

• Participation in an agile environment with SCRUM helpful
