3) Flow Control - Usage of for loop, switch, if, while, enhanced for;

4) API Contents of String related classes, Object, Wrapper classes, Autoboxing, File Streams, Serialization, Dates, Numbers, Currency, Parsing, Tokenizing, Formatting

5) Concurrency Concepts

6) Object oriented concepts (Class, Methods, Access specifiers, Inheritance, Abstract classes, Interfaces), Inner Classes

7) Collection Framework and Generics

8) Assertions

9) Enums, Variable Argument Lists

10) Annotations

11) Regular Expressions

12) Reflection

13) Networking (URL, URI, Sockets, Datagrams)

14) JNI

15) Java Logging Framework

17) Should be having good hands-on experience with one of the IDEs like Eclipse, NetBeans, JBuilder, JDeveloper, IntelliJ to build,compile, run and debug an application. Should be having hands-on experience with at least one static analysis tool like PMD, Findbugs, JTest.

18) Should know how to write and execute unit test cases.

 

->Unix System Internals(L2)-Comfortable with system calls, debugging and small kernel modules (entrypoints).Should be aware of Unix/Linux internals at a conceptual level – File systems-Memory management - Process management &  Scheduler – Device management &  Block/character devices-Networking -Interrupt handlers etc.
