| Job Description: Responsibilities: . Driving logical Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence system solutions at stamford,CT which trace back to Business Requirement Document. . Collaborating closely with BSA and Lead Developer to understand business requirements and identify the best system solutions including the exploration of viable options and alternatives for delivering reports, dashboards and ad-hoc capabilities. . Developing Functional Specification Document and Requirements Traceability Matrix; work closely with Lead Developer to complete the Technical Specification. Includes the analysis of source system data and the development of source to target mapping documents to define data movement requirements through the Data Warehouse/Business Intelligence architecture. . Adhering to Functional Specification Document standards, best practices and guidelines laid out in the industry. . Developing logical models for the atomic level and dimensional data marts. . Providing input into the Information Stewardship program to develop certified enterprise level business element names and definitions for information delivered through the Business Intelligence environment. . Preparing and entering metadata into the appropriate repository. . Consistent on-time delivery of quality deliverables in accordance with agreed upon plans. . Developing expertise to navigate and engage the V-Model SDLC methodology within a Plan/Deliver/QA/Operate model. . Endorsing a winning culture with a repeatable, process-based approach in which all members of the organization recognize the interdependence of the Plan/Delver/QA/Operate model and their role in effectively delivering for the business customers. . Developing personal capabilities measured against "best in industry" standard practices. . Seeking input from multiple sources/levels within the organization and incorporate that knowledge into action plans. Additional Job Info: Qualifications:. Bachelors Degree preferred. . 5 years of IT experience within the Business Intelligence domain. . Experience working with Business Intelligence tools like Cognos . Familiarity with ETL concepts and tools like Informatica . Domain experience in Annuities or in a relevant industry. . Knowledgeable in business processes and functions. . Knowledge of programming and database languages. . Aware of systems and application architecture.Qualifications: . Bachelors Degree preferred.. Aware of software development life-cycle. . Critical thinker. . Good analytical and problem solving skills. . Innovative. . Change agent. . Strategic perspective with ability to deliver. . Excellent customer focus, with experience working with matrix relationships. . Skill at resolving conflict and negotiating effectively and tactfully. . Strong Interpersonal (listening, written and verbal communication) and presentation skills. Top 3 Skills (stack ranked) : 5 Years requirements gathering in Data warehouse / BI environment, 5 Years heavy documentation (BRD, Functional specs, traceability matrix), 5 Years Systems Analysis.
