Title: Middleware Administrator/Engineer
Client: Millipore
Location: Billierca, MA
Duration: 1+ Year( extension possible)
Rate: $55/hr
Jboss is probably the most important experience
Must have: Jboss, Apache, Tomcat, Websphere, Java/J2EE experience
Responsibilities:
Systems Architecture
Provide technical expertise in the analysis and design tasks related to web hosting and middleware infrastructure
Investigate and apply best security practices to maintain confidentiality, integrity and availability of the environment and data
Systems Administration
Perform installation, configuration and system administration of the web hosting platform, applications and middleware components
Infrastructure Operations
Serve as a liaison between the web development and infrastructure operations teams, with production control responsibility. Evaluate the risk of change related activities. Administer deployments, promote changes to production.
Engineer and support automation of deployments, configuration changes, etc.
Manage and monitor SLAs for uptime and performance
Manage capacity
Function as a technical expert in problem resolution for middleware infrastructure hardware and software issues
24x7x365 on-call responsibility
Knowledge/Skills Required:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, systems analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience
