We currently have a Long Term Contracting opportunity for a Web Application Development Lead/ Principle Software Engineer with our client located in Washington, DC.
Our client a Fortune 500 Media Company is developing software to make the TV viewing experience more personal, intuitive, searchable and customizable. The client work environment is very casual and a cool place to hang around and be surrounded by technical professional who are passionate about their work and congregate to bounce ideas off each other.
Job Description:
· This position will be responsible for leading a small team in the design and development of internal web applications.
· This will include working with product managers and UX group personnel to understand requirements and develop web features based on those requirements.
· The position will work with product operations to deploy and support these applications.
Requirement:
· Experience as a software development manager or team lead
· Expertise in developing web applications using Java, JSP, AJAX, and MySQL
· Experience with agile software development process
· Familiarity with consumer-based web application development and User Experience best practices
· Excellent communication skills
