Responsibilities
* Responsible for providing technical leadership in the area of infrastructure architecture
* Collaborate with Application Architects and Middleware engineers to define scalable, extensible, cost effective, and standards based infrastructure solutions that
meet functional and non-functional requirements
* Document architecture and design specifications for end to end infrastructure with a focus on architectural standards, growth, performance, flexibility, reliability,
scalability, and security
* Lead infrastructure architectural reviews of system to identify limitations of technology and asses its ability to support current and future business/infrastructure
needs
* Present facts and recommendations effectively in oral and written form
* Provide technical guidance/support to the development and middleware teams.

* Specific knowledge in infrastructure technologies/domains including:
o Virtualization, Cloud Computing.
o Operating Systems (Linux/AIX, Windows)
o Web and Application Servers (Weblogic/Websphere/JBoss/Tomcat)
o Web Services/SOA frameworks and technologies
o Single Sign-on solutions (IBM Tivoli, Oracle Access & Identity Management)
o Database (Oracle 10g or 11g)
o Enterprise Storage (SAN, NAS)
o Network, Security, Firewalls
o Capacity Planning, sizing
o Fault tolerance, high availability
o Load balancing in a distributed application environment
* 5 or more years as a systems architect/engineer and/or infrastructure architect
