Job Description:



Symantec Enterprise Vault Consultant Symantec Enterprise Vault Consultant is responsible for assessing, designing, implementing and configuring Symantec Enterprise Vault archiving and eDiscovery solution for Exchange 2010. Contractor will evaluate, identify and assist the client with infrastructure assessments, Upgrades, Integration and tuning. Client delivery will require working with Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, MS SQL Server, Storage devices and Netbackup. The candidate will operate in a fast, entrepreneurial environment. Responsibilities: Architect, Design and Upgrade existing infrastructure, accurately document upgrade procedures, including installation and configuration, author test plans and operational procedures. Support client with production issues and train operational staff on day to day maintenance. Advisory and Technical Skills 1. Advise client on archiving, discovery, backup and storage solutions. Asses existing archiving environment and recommend enhancements to optimize Symantec Enterprise Vault deployment. 2. Document present and future archiving and discovery architecture. Conduct analysis to define project scope, gather requirements and identify risk for Symantec Enterprise Vault upgrades- This includes server, storage and database. 3. Build non production environment, Migrate existing production infrastructure to new virtual environment. 4. Tune Symantec Enterprise Vault for optimized single-Instance storage and de-duplication. Integrate Symantec Enterprise Vault with NetBackup, set up roles and policies for discovery and legal holds. 5. Create journal mailboxes, Design automatic rollover of Vault Store partitions; Experience with storage devices. 6. Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills; strong trouble shooting skills. Document requirements, installation, configuration, retention policies. Developing a test plan and validate migration plan and technical design. 7. Validate and ensure the solution is stable, supportable and recoverable. Strong interpersonal, negotiation and knowledge sharing skills.

1. Experience with EV Version 7-10. 2. Strong system administration skills in Windows environment. ( Windows 2000, Windows 2003, Windows 2008 , Active Directory, Exchange 2003 and 2010, MS SQL 2005 and 2008, IIS & MS SharePoint).
