Title:  SCCM contractor

 

Location:  SF /  SAN RAFAEL - CA

 

Duration: 3-4+ months

 

Job Description: 

Strong SCCM experienced candidate for a 3-4 month positionstarting ASAP.

Primary prerequisites are experience in SCCM administration, imaging, and VB scripting

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Work with cross functional teams to analyze requirements and design solutions.

Deliver and implement high-quality tools and processes in our IT Desktop PC Environment

Work with members of other IT groups to automate software deployment and hosting solutions

Develop custom solutions to resolve problems and automate process

Maintain the corporate software distribution portal

Develop and maintain standard workstation images

Work closely with other members of the IT Department to ensure escalated issues are managed to closure in a timely manner.

Evaluates and recommends new tools and technologies to enhance end user productivity and effectiveness, as well as to improve the capabilities and usability of existing systems.

Audit effectiveness of deployed solutions and/or processes.

 

Required Experience / Knowledge / Skills:

BA/BS in Computer Science or related experience in Engineering field

3-5 years' experience with System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)

3-5 years' experience Visual Basic and Batch/command scripting

2-5 years' experience GPO Management and configuration

Mac management (including JAMF, Sophos, Centrify)

IT work experience with an emphasis towards desktop imaging and support

Extensive experience with Windows 2003, 2008 and Windows XP/Vista/7 (including KMS)

Experience deploying desktop security, corporate firewalls and antivirus software

Experience with pilot testing and rollout initiatives from a Desktop perspective

Excellent analytical and problem solving skills; experience in both process and solution analysis.

Ability to articulate change implications for any process or system solution.

Adapt to new and/or changing processes, procedures, duties and responsibilities.

Strong customer service, communication, organizational and leadership skills.

Maturity and ability to work independently in a dynamic project environment with aggressive deadlines.

Demonstrated skills in managing multiple and often conflicting priorities.

Proven multi-tasking, time management, and organizational abilities.

Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.

Desired Knowledge/Skills:

3-5 years' experience coding in C-sharp or Visual Basic

Macintosh Apple Certified System Administrator certification.

Windows PowerShell Scripting

Industry knowledge of Network Security technologies including Firewalls, Network Intrusion Detection, IPSec VPNs, SSL VPNs

Virtualization technologies such as VMWare

Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and Testing Methodologies

Experience in a global corporate environment
