Technical Project Manager Job Description:

The role of the Technical Project Manager is to participate in Architecture and Design discussion, identify required tasks as well planning, execute, and finalize projects according to deadlines and within budget. This includes resource management and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. The Technical Project Manager will also define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.

Responsibilities:

• Direct and manage project development from beginning to end

• Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.

• Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.

• Manage project task with Agile style and run Scrum calls.

• Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.

• Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.

• Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.

• Draft and submit budget proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.

• Where required, negotiate with other department managers for the acquisition of required personnel from within the company.

• Determine and assess need for additional staff and/or consultants and make the appropriate recruitments if necessary during project cycle.

• Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.

• Track project milestones and deliverables.

• Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.

• Strong Programming / Development experience is a MUST

Position Requirements:

• University degree

• At least 2 of years of direct work experience in a project management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution.

• Familiarity with project management software and related tools, such as Microsoft Project, MS Excel, Word , Outlook etc.

• At least 4-5 years of experience in hands on software development on major platforms like .Net / Java, PHP etc.

• 3-4 years of experience on JBoss, WebLogic, Apache Tomcat, WebSphere or other JEE compliant app servers.

• Experience with Open Source tools, APIs, and platforms specially Apache Foundation projects like Lucene/Solr, Struts, Commons etc.

• Experience with systems managing Media, Content etc.

• Familiarity with image, video encoding, digital asset management and delivery, CMS systems like Drupal etc.

• Problem and incident management, RCA and leading solution to a technical problem.
