Job Description:
The person that we bring in will need to be either an American citizen, an H1B candidate that is sponsored and is pursuing their green card. The Client intention is to hire this individual at some point over the next 18 months or if they are pursuing a green card whenever they get their green card and have fulfilled their obligation to their sponsoring company.
Dataquest would like to transfer their H1B after 30-90 days.
It is for a ECM Developer with experience in FileNet P8.
Longer term contract, must have excellent communication skills
Proficient in IBM FileNet P8 Enterprise Content Management (ECM) software, including Content Manager (CM), Business Process Manager (BPM) and IBM Records Manager (IER).
JOB PURPOSE & SUMMARY
Under general supervision, this position is part of a team responsible for building or modifying Information Systems, Enterprise Content Management (ECM) systems and applications as directed by a Technical Lead or a Manager on the Java or .NET platforms. This position supports, maintains and documents the systems and applications which are critical in supporting business operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Development, implementation and support
• Research, develop, implement, administer, troubleshoot and support client Enterprise Content Management (ECM) systems.
• Code/build solutions of moderate to high complexity from technical requirements using Java or .NET programming.
• Perform various coding and programming tasks, such as integration of designs with applications and services.
• Develop and execute unit tests and functional test coverage for assigned coding and system changes to ensure quality and conformity to technical and business requirements and standards.
• Adhere to defined processes and procedures to ensure the quality of the technical solution.
• Prepare for and participate in code reviews as requested.
• Thoroughly document code and system changes.
• Provide technical expertise on complex systems.
• Diagnose system or application problems and provide expertise for resolution.
• Recommend system and process design changes.
• Recommend development process and procedure improvements.
• Advise management on capabilities and limitations of software.
• Maintain application and system security.
• Provide time estimates and scheduling information as requested.
• Assist in resolving process issues through independent research and by meeting with users.
• Provide problem resolution from both a technical and business perspective.
Other
• Provide reports as necessary and participate in staff meetings.
• Assist in disaster recovery planning, documentation and implementation.
On Call Support
• Provide on call support in support of application and system availability.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues causing the unavailability of systems or applications for users.
• Document the cause and resolution of outages.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION& EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in computer science and two years of programming experience or relevant experience or certification in computer science, information technology and at least four years programming experience. Equivalent combination of experience and training considered.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Working knowledge of Software Development Tools and Programming Languages.
• Working knowledge of Relational Databases and query languages.
• Working knowledge of Object Oriented concepts and how they apply to design, architecture and application development.
• Working knowledge of DB2 and SQL concepts.
• Working knowledge of XML/XSLT.
• Working knowledge of source code management tools such as pvcs, cvs, subversion and archiva.
• Understanding of software development practices and concepts.
• Must be able to work with common technology and Microsoft Office file formats.
• Possess a thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of application development.
• Familiar with the interpreting UML for system design.
• Familiar with SOA/Web Services like SOAP.
• Familiar with IBM MQ.
• Familiar with Information Systems analysis principles and techniques.
• Familiar with Information Systems client-server fundamentals.
Java SPECIFIC
• Proficient in Java/J2EE.
• Working knowledge of Hibernate.
• Working knowledge in distributed Java technologies like MDB and EJB.
• Working knowledge of Rational Software Architect (RSA).
• Working knowledge of Web Security (keys, certificates, trusts, etc.).
• Working knowledge of web programming.
• Familiar with MVC Framework(s).
• Familiar with IBM Websphere Application Server.
.NET SPECIFIC
• Proficient in Microsoft Visual Studio .NET
Enterprise Content Management (ECM) SPECIFIC
• Proficient in IBM FileNet P8 Enterprise Content Management (ECM) software, including Content Manager (CM), Business Process Manager (BPM) and IBM Records Manager (IER).
• Proficient in Kofax Capture scan software.
• Proficient in OpenText RightFax fax software.
• Working knowledge of Global360 Process360 Enterprise Content Management (ECM) software.
• Working knowledge of imaging, workflow and BPM concepts.
• Familiar with OCR, ICR, OMR and barcode technologies.
