Position Summary:
The focus of this role is to deliver fully integrated enterprise solutions, as well as best-in-class, stand-alone applications that address the essential challenges our industry faces. The responsibilities include designing solutions using the latest Microsoft technologies including SharePoint 2010 as our portal server platform. This role will help to design technical standards and shape the applications and architecture that will become the engine driving the company's growth and success. This role will also collaborate with executives, directors, managers and staff to help design and develop new opportunities.
Educational & Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 7+ years of ASP.NET, C#, and SQL Server software development on enterprise systems.
- Minimum of 5+ years of SharePoint development experience.
- Microsoft Certified Professional Developer
- Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist: SharePoint
Competency Requirements:
Professional/Technical Knowledge:
- General Development:
- Full Software Development Lifecycle experience developing large scale applications.
- Advanced knowledge of .NET Framework 4.0, ASP.NET, C#, and AJAX.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008.
- Experience with Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) and Microsoft Enterprise Library.
- Experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server.
- SharePoint:
o Experience with SharePoint Portal Server and Windows SharePoint Services implementation and deployment, including the knowledge of custom Web Parts.
o Experience with deploying, securing, and customizing SharePoint site collections.
o Experience with Microsoft SharePoint Security model, events, alerts, and workflows.
o Experience with MOSS farm topology and SharePoint share service providers.
o Experience with content management strategies for importing legacy data into SharePoint.
o Experience with Business Intelligence.
Primary Roles and Responsibilities:
· Architect, design, test, and optimize applications and Web Services using Microsoft Visual Studio 2010, .NET Framework 4.0, Microsoft SharePoint (MOSS) 2010, C#, ASP.NET, and SQL Server 2005/2008.
· Develop principles, strategies and frameworks.
· Collaborate with the team to create a framework for designing solutions more consistently and efficiently.
· Evaluate technologies and determines strengths and weaknesses of technology architecture, implementation and suitability; recommends solutions to ensure consistency with the company roadmap.
· Develop standards for web services frameworks
· Work with the team to create a design supported by the architecture of the existing systems.
· Participate in planning sessions by analyzing requirements, estimating work effort and performing demos.
· Assist and mentor team on .NET design patterns, best practices, tools, and frameworks.
· Write technical documentation.
· Work with the business analyst following User Center Design processes to create UML artifacts representing the design of necessary application modules.
· Prepare and execute project plans to implement software projects as necessary.
· Research and recommend technological advancements to ensure that information systems are continuously improved and aligned with industry standards; designs and provides updates to standards to enhance company solutions.
