Role: Senior .NET Web Developers

Location: Oak Brook, IL

Duration: 6 Months

face-to-face interview is required

We are looking Four (4) Senior .NET Web Developers to join a senior system/application development team with .com web development group.  Qualified candidates must have retail or ecommerce experience and be proficient in both front- and back-end development.  A minimum of six years of experience is required for the roles.  This is a renewable six-month contract engagement.  The position is in Oak Brook, IL

Responsibilities:

 

·         Work with Product Management to analyze and fully understand business requirements

·         Develop detailed design documents to define how to implement the business requirements

o    Data Model

o    Object Model (interfaces, classes and services)

o    Interaction/Flow diagrams

o    Experience with story cards/story points

·         Implement the design based on the functional specifications/design documents using:

o    Microsoft .NET framework v3.5

o    ASP.NET

o    MVC

o    JQuery, Java Script

o    C#

o    Visual Studio 2008 and 2010

o    SQL Server 2005 and 2008 (must have experience with indexes and understand the difference between creating various indexes)

o    HTML CSS

o    SSIS

o    SSRS

o    Strong Agile Methodology, solid SCRUM

·         Work with other members of the Product Development team to

o    Unit test the new code

o    Work with PM and QA team to run regression/integration tests

o    Work with PM to notify all interested teams about release schedule

o    Partner with release engineering team to package and deploy the fix

 

 

Local candidates are preferred but the client will entertain out-of-state consultants, as well.  A face-to-face interview is required.  In addition, part of the application process will include a coding test; this will be the first step in the screening process.  Communication skills are extremely important, as is the consultant's willingness to work in a paired programming environment.
