We are seeking an experienced Oracle DBA to help us upgrade/migrate all our production and non-production databases from HP-UX to AIX power server. To be a successful candidate you must have strong and comprehensive Oracle Database and Oracle Application Server administration skills.

 

Experienced in upgrading/migrating Oracle Application servers and performance tuning of Oracle Application Servers Experienced in upgrading databases via different paths Ability to analyze, plan, perform, and monitor essential database maintenance activities (e.g., troubleshoot, tuning, archiving, purging, and logging, etc.) for Oracle databases and application servers Able to be accessible via cell phone to support on-call function. May be required to work weekends and/or Late hours.

Required Skills:

 

-- 7 years minimum experience as an Oracle DBA required.

-- 5 years minimum experience as an Oracle iAS admin required.

-- Excellent oral and written communication skills required.

-- Must be proficient with Oracle 10g/11g.

-- Knowledge and experience in performing database upgrades for Oracle databases and Oracle Application Server 9iAS/10g

-- Must be proficient with advanced Oracle backup and recovery techniques.

-- Must be proficient with Oracle RMAN.

-- Configure and administer Oracle10g Application Server. Setup J2EE applications, deploy EAR/WAR files etc.

-- Trouble-shoot Oracle Application Server issues including performance tuning

-- Strong experience in tuning/AWR/ADDM and monitoring tools like OEM.

Ability to analyze key performance metrics using OEM tool.

 

Desired Skills:

-- Experienced with HPUX 11i, AIX 6.1, shell scripting, SQL Scripting, Oracle Performance Tuning
