Job Description
Looking for a technical lead role with a customer and agency facing component. The ideal candidate is comfortable working directly with customers in addition to directing and leading a development effort. Also, the candidate has to co-ordinate from individual contributor to the management and can effectively delegate work to team members and provide feedback to management in the event resources are not working out.  Job Roles / Responsibilities:      Proven track record working with agencies and business customers to develop web-based consumer applications. Must be able to translate technical issues into business issues and/or functionality. Proven track record to lead teams and able to work with Project Managers, Product Managers, and QA teams. Need to be able to provide status to Project Managers and bridge functional/technical gaps with Product Managers. Ability to delegate work and uplift development team and ability to work in a matrixed environment. Self-starter who can work without a lot of supervision or direction, willing to make decisions without checking with others. Technical Skills: Experience working as a Lead on multiple projects, including consumer web applications and data integration projects with at least 7 years of experience developing object-oriented, web-based consumer applications in a Java/J2EE 3-tier environment. Diverse and deep experience utilizing Java tools in business, Web Front End, and client-server environments including Java Platform, Enterprise Edition (J2EE), Enterprise Java Bean (EJB), Java Server Pages (JSP), JavaScript, JFC/Swing MVC, JQuery and Java database Connectivity (JDBC) technologies, SOAP/REST Web Services, Fluent understanding of multiple development languages including JavaScript, HTML, CSS and XML, and ability to write clean, eloquent, minimal code in a load-balanced environment to achieve value added business outcomes Deep expertise in Object Oriented analysis and design, UML modeling, Classic design patterns and J2EE patterns Technically capable with maximizing build quality and simplifying the build process through use of build and integration tools (e.g. JUNIT, Ant, Maven, etc.) Experience, interest and adaptability to working in a Waterfall or Lean/Agile delivery environment. Strong preference for multiple years of SCRUM/XP development expertise. Successful track record collaborating with product owners, product managers and business SMEs to ensure delivered solutions optimally support the achievement of business outcomes Experience estimating work, planning, organization and implementing complex Java software projects Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills to effectively communicate with both business and technical IT teams Familiarity with object modeling patterns and implementation (i.e. UML) Desired Skills: ·         Experience with GWT (Google Web Toolkit) a plus ·         Experience with Team Site and Subversion would be welcomed, but not required. Experience with relational databases and SQL is required, JBOSS and Oracle experience is highly desired. Some system integration experience highly desired.
