· SAS developers w/ hands on development, UNIX, Shell Scripting, Large data sets,

 

Specific to this job:

Masters degree in economics, statistics, mathematics, financial engineering, or computer science (or programs that require in depth quantitative analysis), or equivalent work experience.

- Certified SAS Programmer with over 8 years of experience in analysis, design, development, and testing applications, with at least 2 years in a highly technical and quantitative field.

- Expert in Base SAS and SAS macro language with strong experience deciphering existing SAS code.

- Able to develop new functionalities and implement new models in a complex combination of SAS and shell script implementation

- Proficient in UNIX, UNIX scripting, and SQL. Knowledge of Perl and AUTOSYS is a plus.

- Able to analyze new and existing modeling requirements to derive design specifications and test cases

- Contribute to all phases of system development life cycle for financial and credit risk modeling application components and systems.

- Able to capture system requirements via reverse engineering.

-Able to document application system artifacts, technical issues, and recommendations clearly and in a manner that ensures proper understanding by both business and technical staff.

- Able to design new and enhance existing model components and modeling architecture framework.

- Work independently to make judgmental decisions on model components and application development approaches with limited supervision.

- Collaborate with other team members, business units, and user groups to identify impacts of changes or enhancements, estimate level of efforts, and provide inputs to project schedules.

- Able to develop applications that follow company standards and procedures.

- Where appropriate, provide technical guidance or consultation to less senior staff. Share knowledge andexperience with other team members. Train or mentor users based on their needs.

- May require to work after normal working hours and weekends when needed.
