Title -                   IT Security Analyst

Location -           Portland, OR

Start -                  Immediate

Duration -          12 Months   

Rate:                   $50/hr all incl

Candidate will have to undergo drug/background test upon selection

 
Purpose: 
Security Process and Governance analysis and advisory. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 
Identifies security risks, threats and vulnerabilities of networks, systems, applications and new technology initiatives 
Advise manufacturing information security improvements and access policy development 
Provides technical support in the development, testing and operation of firewalls, intrusion detection systems, enterprise anti-virus and software deployment tools 
Conducts complex security architecture analysis to evaluate and mitigate issues 
Identify gaps in designs, processes, or governance models 
Identifies and oversees the installation, modification or replacement of hardware or software components and any configuration change(s) that affects security 
Travel to sites in the US and Mexico 

Deliverables: 
Liaison with Manufacturing Engineering, IT Operations, Network Operations and design teams to capture current mode of operations for IT/data security. 
Develop plans and recommendations to remediate those gaps 
Develops policies and procedures for securing the system infrastructure and applications 
Develops complex technical and programmatic assessments, evaluates engineering and integration initiatives and provides complex technical support to assess security policies, standards and guidelines 
Develops, implements, enforces and communicates security policies and/or plans for data, software applications, hardware and telecommunications 
Review and advise the remediation effort to ensure effective implementation 
Develops manuals and ensures system support personnel receive/maintain security awareness and training 

Demonstrates the following skills and behaviors: 
Facilitate meetings and document outcome 
Develop and perform formal presentations when required 
Understand IT processes and work within designated guidelines 
Provide customer service in an advisory role 
Professionalism and strong communication skills are essential 
Must be comfortable working under the pressure of delivering quality results with schedule deadlines and must have a proven track record in meeting schedule for tasks while still meeting or exceeding business requirements and goals 
Must be able to work independently as well as with others on work tasks and must demonstrate initiative and ability to self-manage time and work with minimal direction 

Required Knowledge and Experience: 
Performs highly complex product evaluations, recommends and implements products/services for network security. Validates and tests complex security architecture and design solutions to produce detailed engineering specifications with recommended vendor technologies 
Provides complex technical oversight and enforcement of security directives, orders, standards, plans and procedures at server sites 
Experience working with manufacturing and automation 
Experience Managing security process development in manufacturing plants. Work environment – plants will require safety shoes. Travel to domestic and Mexico locations 
Bachelors' degree and at least 5-15 years of project management experience, OR equivalent job experience
