QA (Set top box and Linux) needed in CA...Locals Only...!!

Position: QA Tester

Location: El Segundo, CA

Duration: 6+ Months

Job Description: 

The candidate will be responsible for software QA testing of linux based set top boxes and creating problem reports by analyzing logs, core files, system processes, shell scripts, memory usage, process crashes, and deadlocks.   The candidate will be responsible for loading cyclical and special sofware builds onto set top boxes and providing said feedback directly to developers.

 

Skills Needed:

Software QA or development experience, the emphasis is on debugging software problems

Comfortability with common Linux commands

Experience using bug tracking systems and source control systems

Linux shell scripting, SQL, PHP, (LAMP), and familiarity with contributing to wiki pages are all plusses
