Description:

IP Telephony Engineer? The IP Telephony Engineer is a core position in the Telecommunications/Network department. This position will play a key role in the implementation of IP telephony, unified messaging and contact center technologies. Closely works with technical teams and designated groups in the development and implementation of telephony-based business solutions.

Implement, maintain and support Walgreens centralized telecommunications infrastructure, specializing in UC (Unified Communications). This includes system administration, troubleshooting, analysis, testing, research, provisioning, training, problem solving, technical support, development, and testing/deployment of new applications, hardware, and systems - including Call Manager (CM), Cisco Unified Presence Server (CUPS), Session Border Controller (SBC), Peripheral Gateway (PG), AS/5400 Gateways, Unity Voice Mail and Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) Trunks

Additionally responsible for documentation including support processes and operating procedures. Function as an internal consultant and resource to others in the department as it relates to current and future telecommunications infrastructures. Performs maintenance on telephony systems, assists other technical groups with implementations and possesses technical knowledge of the detailed system design
