Job Details:
Role: - Network Engineer
Location: - New York
Duration: - 12 + months
Positions: 10
Qualifications and Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Internetworking theory and practical applications based on the Cisco design paradigm
- Working knowledge of TCP/IP, routing and tunneling including bit not limited to EIGRP, BGP, VRRP/HSRP, GRE, IPSec, OSPF.
- Cisco switch and router hardware/software: IOS, CatOS, 6500, 7200, 5500, 7600
- Familiarity with application load balancers, DNS, DHCP, Windows and Unix operating systems, security architecture including firewalls and proxies
- Strong leadership skills with ability to focus and perform in time-sensitive high-pressure environment
- Strong interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication skills as well as attention to details
- Cisco CCNP/CCIE certification preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering highly desirable.
Responsibilities:
Service Delivery
o Provide client solutions based on global standards and hardware blueprints
o Provide capital and resource requirements to Service Delivery team
o Provide design documentation including operational processes and procedures.
o Deployment of fault tolerant client solutions
Incident Resolution and Management
o Liaise with Regional Operations team
o Provide 3rd level Incident Support
o Provide Vulnerability Management Support
Post Incident and Problem Management
o Liaise with Regional Operations team to provide root cause analysis
o Provide timely incident reporting to Operational Governance and Senior Management Teams
Change Management – Maintain the integrity of the production environment
o Participate in weekly peer technical and procedural review of all changes submitted to the regional networking team.
o Maintain Data Implementation Team Change Log
o Perform Complex and Client based System Installations
o Track metrics on success and failures
Optimization – Deliver best of class service
o Design Assurance – Liaise with Regional Operations team to ensure proposed solution engineered to fit client needs and accounts for all levels of resiliency and allows for growth.
o Ensure compliance with global standards including configuration and OS best practices are applied.
