Position: Sr. Microsoft Business Intelligence Database Developer
Location: Woburn, Ma
Duration: 6+ months
BridgePoint Consulting is seeking a Sr. Microsoft Business Intelligence Database Developer for a 6 month contract in Woburn, MA. The role will also include primary Database Administrator duties with a composition of 80% Data Warehouse and 20% DBA. The selected candidate will design, document, implement, and manage the enterprise data warehouse and all business systems databases in MS SQL Server 2008/2012.
They will be responsible for the following:
· Development of logical and physical data models and other data architecture deliverables
· Designing, documenting, and managing complex ETL processes.
· Managing overall BI environment including Data Warehouse Design and infrastructure
To Qualify:
· Bachelors' degree in Computer Science or related field
· 10+ years' experience in data warehouse design and development, data modeling, architecture, and mapping
· 5+ years' experience of core database administration in a SQL Server environment
· Advance knowledge of database performance turning and Transact-SQL
· Experience with Microsoft BI Development Studio including Analysis Services, Reporting Services and Integration Services.
· ETL experience including extracting data from multiple databases including Microsoft SQL, My SQL and Oracle.
· Experience managing a SharePoint Enterprise 2010 BI environment including, Performance Point Services, Excel Services and Excel Power Pivot and overall site development and maintenance.
· Experience with SharePoint compatible dashboard tools including Idashboards or Dundas is desirable.
· Experience with backups, restores and recovery models; demonstrated knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for MS SQL Server
· Setup and configure MS SQL databases and maintain the database performance criteria; perform daily monitoring of database performance
· Develop and maintain proper database security
· Experience working with MS Windows server, including Active Directory and optimal environment configurations
· Must be highly organized, a self-starter, and have excellent project management skills
· Must possess initiative and strong teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Desired Skills:
· PMP certification desirable.
· Experience with ERP systems including Infor Syteline desired but not required
