Job Position: Risk Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence Project Manager
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Duration: 6+ months

Practice pragmatic application of relevant technology and combine project management, technical knowledge, proficiency and ability to identify and strengths and leverage team dynamics in the delivery of high-quality, dependable data management and risk business analytics systems and services.
Provide day to day technical management and process guidance on development activities associated with large-scale, complex data warehouse and Business Intelligence. Conduct technical deep-dives on designs, code, and test artifacts. Provides support to project teams with improvements to development work products. Evaluate feasibility of solution by aligning with architects and designers and act as a bridge for PoC development.
Take a big-picture and detailed view to project scope, milestones, coaching and managing the team and proactively intervene to solve technical issue arising out of business decisions. Prepare a proper top-down, structured Project Plan comprising a Product Breakdown Structure, Work Breakdown Structure, Gantt Chart and Dependency Network.
Manage and monitor the project plan to ensure successful completion of the plan activities and delivery of the project on schedule. Manage and monitor the budget to ensure that the project is delivered within budget. Ensure proactive risk & issues management.
Develop root cause analysis process to get beyond symptoms of critical service interruptions. Identify underlying source of problems, and recommend solutions. Work with the data analysis and data acquisition leads to jointly create a supportive team environment defined by collaboration, knowledge sharing and high retention rate within the team.
Manage the development operations of DBMS software (Oracle 11g, UDB) on a variety of platforms including monitoring of performance, storage utilization and security and PoC operations of the risk analytics BI platform.
Integrate into project plan and monitor progress on the development of architecture and design of the strategic solution and identify, document and follow-though of risk dependencies with the data analysis and data acquisition teams.
Define the content/format of and prepare the various achievement reports to be distributed on an agreed timeframes. Work with the department's governance and control office to enable and monitor procedures covering configuration management, including change control, and governance points. Work with governance teams to identify, document and communicate controls according to governance SDLC requirements
Through strong documentation and reporting skills, a must for this position, take the lead of documentation management of technical documentation for a variety of topics including business requirements document, technology solution architecture, technology design solution and implementation plans.
Qualifications
Solid communication skills, 5-7 years team leadership and 3-5 years project leadership and at least 3 years experience of leveraging different software development methodologies (Agile, iterative).
Solid expertise in building large scale data warehouse solutions and business intelligence platforms. Solid knowledge of the management of data modeling, architecture, design and BI design activities.
Proven track record in managing highly technical resources, to have credibility with project resources and be able to work effectively with them.
Experience in managing projects leveraging Experience in measuring project success factors regarding quality, i.e. requirements quality, design quality, test quality and code quality.
Practical experience with test cases development and interactions with business.
Proven work experience working with or in a collaborative role with architecture, testing, SW engineering and PMO groups
Ability to work with Business interface teams and business leads to estimate cost and negotiate requirements to minimize project impact |
