Job Description:

- WebSphere application server (WAS) installation

- Admin console management (Resource creation & configuration)

- Cluster configuration

- Application patch installation/maintenance

- WebSphere Portal Server installation, configuration

- LDAP connectivity configuration

- Role & User management

- Portal server template maintenance

- WebSphere Process Server (WPS) installation, configuration

- Process server integration with WAS

- Scripting and Automation

 

b.  The associate should have solid prior experience of Oracle Database monitoring and support

·         Should have very good Oracle Admin experience and skills

·         As part of Monitoring support activities, the associate should be able to perform

·         Backup Monitoring and Space Monitoring

·         CRON Job Monitoring

·         Use of Oracle Grid /EM Monitor tools

·         Retrieving log files

·         Running SQLs

·         Provide READ and UPDATE access (use of SC ITIL tool)

·         Loading JARS into DEV

·         The associate should be able to support deployment activities like

·         Database Changes pertaining to CRs

·         Load Valid values, system lists, L1/L2 data loads, special table loads

·         Able to use customer webDBA tools

·         The associate should be able to perform the following L1 activities

·         Monitor Backup, Availability, High Availability, Alert Logs, DB space utilization, DB Performance, resources, unauthorized access

·         Handling Severity 2-4 database issues

·         Manage database UserIds, Passwords, Roles, Profiles, Privileges

·         Verify the validity of database backups

·         Manage unplanned and forecasted growth

·         Execute database scripts on behalf of application DBAs and/or application teams

·         Create / Maintain / Execute DDL

·         Basic Database administration

·         The associate should be able to perform the following L2 activities

·         DBMS Life cycle management

·         Install and/or upgrade database software

·         Patch database software

·         Execute disaster recovery plans

·         Enable DBMS to work with storage devices and storage management software

·         Interface with any technology required by the database

·         Create and Manage database objects, table spaces

·         Create and Manage Non application database objects

·         Test recovery procedures

·         Perform database and schema refreshes on request

·         Manage Purging, database Storage etcs

·         Ensure license compliance
