Job Description – Data Analyst

Client is looking for an experienced data analyst from the financial services/insurance industry with proven research, writing, and analytical skills and an understanding of operational, analytical, and warehouse data concepts.  

Desired Skills & Experience

Job Requirements 

• Able to perform analysis of existing data structures, data entities, stored procedures, Triggers, PL/SQL,  applications and data

• Identification of business rules / logic from applications, PL/SQL, Stored Procedures, and Triggers

• Profiling and categorizing data, identifying data patterns, flows, transformation and quality

• Experience with Oracle Database platforms

• Ability to query and analyze data (SQL knowledge, knowledge of data modeling and database components (tables, views, indices).

• Ability to analyze the flow and transformation of data between systems through interviews and documentation.

• familiarity / experience with data modeling tools  - Erwin and Embarcadero

• Strong systems integration experience

• Experience with data analysis, data programs

• Expertise in relational data models, meta data
