Position – Java Developer
Location –
Duration – Long Term – Contract extending every 3 months
The Java Developer will report to me and the Project Manager for the day-to-day activities. I’m looking for a ratein the range of below . This candidate will be working on various projects related to the property and casualty industry. All candidates must have the following qualifications:
· Project Requirements:
1. Hibernate
2. Struts2/Spring MVC
· Basic Requirements:
1. Core Java (Java 5 or later)
2. Unit Testing
§ JUnit
§ One or more Mocking Frameworks (i.e. Mockito
, EasyMock, etc.)
3. Core Spring
4. Knowledge about RDBMS and SQL
5. Spring JDBC and JDBC
6. Building with Maven
7. Eclipse IDE (i.e. Eclipse, SpringSource Tool Suite, IBM Rational Application Developer (RAD), and etc.)
8. Subversion
9. Familiarity with Linux
10. Experience with Peer reviews
11. Familiarity with the Atlassian Suite of Products (JIRA, Confluence, Bamboo, Fisheye/Crucible)
12. Familiarity Agile [Scrum and XP Engineering Practices]
13. Familiarity with Continuous Integration
14. Familiarity with Test Driven Development (TDD)
15. Good communication skills
16. Ability to collaborate in a team
17. Someone who takes initiative instead of waiting for workto be assigned.
18. Someone who participates in discussions and who isn't afraid to have and state opinions.
· Nice to have:
1. Mobile Frameworks (Titanium, PhoneGap, Sencha)
2. WebSphere Application Server (WAS)
3. IBM WebSphere MQ
4. IBM DB2
5. z/Linux (Linux on IBM System/z)
6. Familiarity with the Property and Casualty Industry is a plus
