Location: Tampa, FL

Duration:  3 Month 

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Manage, deploy and install Oracle databases on RAC and non-RAC hardware (AIX, Linux). Database performance and tuning, problem resolution, SR creation and working with the vendor. Perform day-to-day system support, upgrading and new project planning and implementation with the following responsibilities:

                Oracle Grid Control (setup, usage, installation)

                Oracle database build using ASM on RAC/non-RAC

                Oracle database upgrades, patching

                Working with the client team for problem resolution

                Database performance and tuning

                Database performance monitoring

                Database backup and recovery using RMAN and SQL-Backtrack

                Developing and maintaining standards (SOE) and comply with company's Audit requirements

 

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

                7+ Years production Oracle Database Administration experience

                Oracle 11G installation on enterprise systems (AIX, Linux) RAC/Non-RAC

                Oracle ASM

                Must have experience with Data Guard, RMAN

                Experience with Golden Gate is preferred

                Must have experience in Performance and Tuning

                Must have experience in Database problem resolution, dealing with Oracle, creation of SRs.

                Database patching, upgrades, maintenance

                UNIX Shell Scripting

                Strong SQL skills

                Oracle database build using ASM on RAC/non-RAC

                Database performance monitoring

                Database backup and recovery using RMAN.

 

NON-TECHNICAL SKILLS:

                Smooth verbal and written skills in English.

                Basic project management skills.

                Oracle database upgrades, patching

                Ability to operate in a high pressure, date driven environment

                Working with the client team for problem resolution, performance and tuning

                Developing and maintaining standards (SOE) and comply with company's Audit requirements
