We are Tier one vendors to major pharmaceutical/financial companies and other fortune clients and for same we are searching forward for a  SQL DB Architect which is as follows:-

 

 

Location	West Port, Connecticut
Duration of role	6 months+
Technology –	SQL DBA, Design, Implement and Operationalize Database, CMDB, RDBMS Development
Job Description: Mandatory	We are looking for a professional who has : ·         2-3 years of experience in database development and support in MS SQL Server environments. ·         Experience in Database Administration in SQL Server (2008) ·         Extensive scripting experience using Powershell. ·         Expert experience in implementing operational automation. ·         Strong knowledge of SQL Server meta data ( configuration options, performance counters, system tables and sprocs, DMVs etc ) ·         Strong knowledge of backups, restores, recovery models, database shrink operations, DBCC commands, Clustering, Database mirroring, Index maintenance, Replication. ·         SQL Development - strong ability to write and troubleshoot SQL Code and design ( stored procs, functions, tables, views, triggers, indexes, constraints ) ·         Experience in automated installation of Windows and SQL Server ·         Documentation skills for processes and procedures ( creating KBs, run books, topology etc )
Job Description: Good-to-have skills	Preferred candidates would also meet the following criteria: ·         5+ years of experience in database development and support in MS SQL Server environments. ·         Solid acquaintance with SQL SSRS 2008 development. ·         Knowledge of 3rd party DBA tools and applications ( e.g redgate, idera, SCOM, Erwin ) ·         MCDBA / MCT / MVP certification
