Job title : Sr. Java developer
Location: Wayne, PA 
Duration :6-12 months +
Rate: $ DOE/hr on C2C

Client is looking for a Java Developer to participate on the project team responsible for the successful implementation of moderate to large application development projects. This will be a 6+ month project where your primary responsibility will be the analysis, design, development and implementation of solutions involving database, Java and service-oriented technologies, in a highly customer-oriented organization. The work involves developing and/or modifying applications that will enhance the work-flow of the business processes utilizing advanced analysis and design concepts in high level programming languages.

Requirements:

• Support the definition and refinement of requirements
• Act as the in depth technical expert for applications exhibiting detailed technical knowledge and high level functional knowledge
• Participate in projects meetings and business requirements sessions
• Design, develop and implement new web-based and service oriented applications or enhancements to current applications to accommodate changes in business needs
• Translate functional designs into technical designs
• Prepare and maintain technical design documentation for changes and projects
• Assist in the preparation of project plans
• Participate and conduct unit testing of development and changes of global systems based on technical and functional specifications

Experience:

• 5 + years of extensive experience following Software Development Lifecycle methodologies
• Solid technical background with strong experience in Java development technologies (J2EE, XML, HTML, Java Frameworks including Hibernate & Spring)
• Experience with object oriented analysis, design and programming
• Technical understanding of Service Oriented Architecture and methodologies
• Experience with designing and building multi-tier web applications
• Experience with data modeling, SQL and PL/SQL (Oracle preferred)
• Knowledge of Websphere Application Server
• Ability to manage small to medium sized projects.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and deal with conflicting priorities.
