Infrastructure Consultant
Rate 45/hr
Location – Syracuse, NY
Here is the JD
Infrastructure consultant who can take an overall look of the entire landscape from an infrastructure perspective and proactively identify any issues around network, hardware etc.
This person should be able to review and challenge on any reports or stats provided by the vendors such as T-Systems, Verizon etc and should be able to direct them to perform activities that are essential for completeness of the solution
Skills required are:
1. Good understanding of the infrastructure technologies such as Servers, Storage, network, data center/operations, High availability solutions, BCP/DR testing
2. Experience in performing Operation Acceptance Testing (in other words should have had exposure in performing nonfunctional testing such as performance testing, disaster recovery testing, infrastructure configuration tests)
3. Experience in SAP environment is a desirable
4. Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
5. Good analytical skills and should be able to assess the impacts of any changes
6. Should be able to work collaboratively with multiple partners of national grid
7. Should be able to escalate and highlight issues
8. Should have good interaction skills
