Need for Midlevel Java Developer

Position: Midlevel Java Developer

Duration: Contract-6 months with a strong possibility of being extended.          

Location: Birmingham, AL

 

Client is looking for a mid-level Java Resource for their team that deal exclusively with the claims handling process for Auto Insurance.

 

Must Haves:

 

College degree with a major in computer engineering/computer science or a related area and an additional eight (4-6) years experience in a position performing software development.

Core Java, Xml, Xsp, and Servlets

 

Plusses:

Spring and Web Services

 

Mid-Level, 4-6 years experience

MUST HAVE:

Core Java/Principles of OOP (he mentioned something about knowing about encapsulation and messaging between objects)

XML/XSLT

JSP/Servlets

HTML

 

Nice to Have:

Spring

Webservices

 

Other technologies that they utilize:

 

Oracle

Unix (Solaris)

Eclipse

JDK 1.6

Weblogic

EJBs
