Citrix Systems Engineer Consultant

Duration: 6+ MonthsLocation: New York, NY

 

Job Description:

 

• Engineer's responsibility is to engineer the organization's Citrix systems, networks, and applications. This includes installing, configuring, patching, upgrading, and maintaining the company's investments in proprietary Citrix technologies.
• Additional responsibilities include the design, development and enforcement of Citrix standards. This includes the associated controls, procedures and monitoring to insure compliance and accuracy of data. The role also evaluates, recommends and installs new and/or enhanced Citrix hardware/software.

 

 

Required Skills:

 

• Expertise with core Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop services including, but not limited to, Zones, License, Desktop Delivery Controller, Application Profiler, Provisioning Services, Policy Management, and web interface. Deep technical understanding of Presentation Server Core technologies (e.g. Windows TSs, CSG, WI, DDC, RM DB, Clients)
• Citrix products including but not limited to EdgeSite, CAG, XenApp,
• XenDesktop, NetScaler, and core Citrix services including but not limited to, Zones, License, Desktop Delivery Controller, Application Profiler, Provisioning Services, and web interface.
• Expertise with Citrix Presentation Server / XenApp Technology
• Expertise with Citrix XenDesktop
• Expertise with Netscaler Technology
• Expertise with EdgeSite
• Candidate need to have basic understanding of core Windows Infrastructure technologies (AD, GPO, CIFS, and DFS) within the enterprise
• Experience managing systems, user configuration and technology deployments across large, distributed environments
• Strong troubleshooting mindset (parsing event log, sysinternals tools, and analyzing memory dumps)
• Scripting ability highly desired (whether with PowerShell, WMI, VBScript, etc.). Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Thorough understanding of enterprise datacenter technologies including Networking, Security, TCP/IP, SAN and NAS, physical datacenter practices
• Two or more technical certifications in the designated areas:
• CCA, CCEA, and VCP preferred
• Citrix System Engineering
